Nomos Glashütte originated in 1990 by Roland Schwertner in Glashütte, Germany. Over the time, Nomos Glashütte has created multiple timepieces that are not easy to find anywhere else in the world.
In 2014, Nomos Glashütte stopped relying on third parties and started determining the quality of every single watch itself – all this within an affordable price range. Through a great deal of effort, patience, and attention to detail, Nomos Glashütte has produced a lot of components on its own. The company uses machines only when the technology is able to give better precision than handcraft.
Normos Glashütte launched their first collection in 1991 that featured Tangente, Ludwig, Orion, and Tetra. Every watch was designed with finesse and minimalist style. This company produced watches that were comfortable for both men and women; not many brands have been able to master this gender-neutral concept. Later, Normos Glashütte introduced its other collections like Metro, Tangomat, Lux, Club, Ahio, Zurich, and Minimatik in the subsequent years.
