In the year 1904, Cartier, a French luxury goods company, entered the luxury watchmaking market. The Cartier Baignoire series, one of the company's most popular women's watches, debuted in 1957.

This watch series was the aesthetic successor to a spectacular jewel and onyx watch model given to the Russian Grand Duchess Pavlovna by Louis Cartier, the company's founder, a year before. The name of the watch collection comes from the fact that it resembles a bathtub, or "ignore" in French. This oval-shaped watch line is still fashionable and gracefully caresses the user's wrist.

Louis-Francois Cartier founded Cartier in 1847 when he took up his master's jewelry shop in Paris. Cartier sold jewelry to royalty over the first half-century of its existence, including Princess Mathilde and Napoleon's niece. The firm's first timepiece was constructed for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904 by Louis Cartier, Louis-Francois' grandson.

The first Baignoire was established in 1913, not long after Cartier established the luxury watchmaking market. This type was heavily influenced by the watch that Louis Cartier gave to the Russian Grand Duchess Pavlovna, who may or may not have been a Cartier customer in the early twentieth century.

The basic ellipse shape of Cartier watches was somewhat bent towards the end of the 1950s, with Roman or Arabic numbers engraving on the dial. Furthermore, the gold circular sculpt added to the watch's visual appeal.

Cartier's designers stretched the elliptical watch even more in the 1960s, creating the renowned Baignoire Allongée. The Cartier Baignoire Allongée, with its elliptical design, has become a statement of uniqueness. Ever since, the Cartier Baignoire and Baignoire Allongée collections have evolved on a routine basis, gaining cult status among women.

Cartier Baignoire watches are often made of gold and valuable diamonds, which is appropriate for one of the world's most prestigious jewelers. There are, however, more 'basic' variants that consist of an 18k gold case and a leather belt.

Cartier has unequaled skill in the design of both women's and men's timepieces. Cartier creates a classic and everlasting Baignoire watch by combining two pillars of the brand's artistic style: the sublimation of daily items and the constant quest for elegance.

Educated females across the world cover Cartier Baignoire watch for its high-end appearance. This one-of-a-kind selection of women's watches wonderfully exemplifies the sophisticated look of France.

Watches from Cartier Baignoire have attracted celebrities. Such as Romy Schneider, Catherine Deneuve, Jeanne Moreau, and others who have cultural aspects and tastes. These individuals are well-known for promoting the spirit of liberty.

For almost a century, the Cartier Baignoire has become one of the greatest wristwatches available for women, and it comes in micro, small, and big sizes. The buyer has the option of selecting white, yellow, or pink gold. They can also choose whether or not to include diamonds. The watch emanates simplicity with 12 Roman numerals set around the oval display. Lastly, Baignoire offers a selection of straps in either leather or gold to compliment the watch.

For those who want to add a little sparkle to the combination, there's a stunning edition of Baignoire Allongée, Ref. WJBA0016, that's completely covered in diamonds. The mechanical movement, caliber 1917 MC, in this stunning diamond watch is manually wound. It boasts an 18K pink gold frame and an 18K pink gold braided crown adorned with magnificent diamonds to add to its glorification. Today's watch collectors consider this Cartier watch to be their favorite diamond watch.

This year, the magnificent Baignoire Allongée is expected to reach greater levels. The initial Roman numerals will be redesigned by Cartier, who will also add a silvered sandblasting dial and striking design features to the case. The golden three-tiered case was created by Cartier's designers using the notion of stepped case style, but instead of employing a smooth elliptical, they used a golden three-tiered case.

The trendy geometric motif on the rebuilt version is strong and striking. This carved design, which resembles the teeth on a wheel, is visually appealing. These sophisticated and sensual Baignoire Allongée watches are available in 18k white rose, and yellow gold. They come in two sizes: extra-large (47 mm tall) and regular.

The Cartier design studio has redesigned the recent version of the Cartier Baignoire watch in a way that blends contemporary fashion with vintage elegance. The elegance is very lovely, with a delicate blend of simple design and subtle lines.

The watch's band is slimmer, the silver matte dial has re-combined Roman numerals, and the bottom cover is fused with the case. Cartier uses Parisian embossing in the jewelry design and engraves the spiky ornament right on the gold bezel to emphasize beauty and elegance. In addition, the timepieces in this collection are waterproof to a depth of 30 meters, ensuring that they meet modern quality requirements.

The Cartier Ballon Bleu watch's exquisite design belies the fact that it is a new model for the 170-year-old Cartier brand. With its polished aesthetic and universal acceptance, the Cartier Ballon Bleu de Cartier is poised to become a masterpiece on par with the Cartier Tank Watch.

The rounded design of the Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch is distinctive and distinguished. The mother-of-pearl dial and strong Roman numerals add to the watch's classy appeal. The sapphire cabochon crown, which is contained by the incorporated crown, is the Ballon Bleu de Cartier's distinctive feature.

Is it wise to invest in Cartier watches?

Cartier is a key player in the field of horology. The well-known company is constantly investing in the aesthetics, practicality, and technological developments of its timepieces.

Many Cartier watches keep their appeal, and some will be valued more on the second-hand market than when they were first bought. It also helps with retail value if they are kept with their original packaging and documents.

Few, if any, timepieces have ever held the same enduring power as the Cartier Baignoire. The Cartier Baignoire watch has become a symbol of a creative idea that inspires new watch designs while also revitalizing beauty and vibrancy.

For a century, the Baignoire collection has been the finest example of exquisite and rare timepieces. The Baignoire will undoubtedly last several more centuries due to its timeless elegance.
