The overlap between gamers and watch collectors keeps getting bigger. Nearly half of the global population are gamers. At the same time, the luxury watch market sits in the tens of billions of dollars and is growing on the back of collectible, story-driven pieces.
So it’s no surprise that brands now treat gaming IP as a serious canvas for limited editions and collaborations. Below are eight video game-related watches that prove you don’t have to choose between horology and high scores.
Omega Seamaster 300M ‘GoldenEye’
For many players, GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64 is the only thing that connects James Bond and the Omega Seamaster. Pierce Brosnan wore the Seamaster 300M Professional for the first time in GoldenEye (1995). The same blue-dial diver was used as a gadget in the N64 game, right down to the caged hands, chain links, and dive bezel.
On the wrist, the GoldenEye-era Seamaster 300M brings:
- A 41mm case with 300m water resistance.
- The wave-pattern blue dial and scalloped bezel that defined ’90s Omega design.
- A bracelet that’s sporty enough for a dive suit, but still slips under a cuff at a casino table.
If you ever decide to chase a bit of that atmosphere from home, the smart move is to copy Bond’s preparation. Unlike Bond, you don’t need to visit Casino de Monte-Carlo – you can play casino games from the comfort of your home. According to this Singapore online casino list, you should look for sites that hold reputable licences and support reliable security features.
Casio Vintage Pac-Man A100WEPC-1B
The Pac-Man work by Casio takes the A100 case and turns it into a small arcade machine. The original maze is laser-engraved on the black ion-plated wrist by the A100WEPC-1B. Ghosts are chasing PAC-MAN above the dial, and the hunt ends when he eats a power pellet below it.
It’s not just a logo slapped on a standard watch:
- Original game screen graphics are engraved on the caseback.
- The packaging is designed to mimic a classic arcade cabinet.
Collectors will love this because it has official Bandai Namco licensing, a design that can’t be missed, and a price that’s still reasonable compared to Swiss limited versions.
Timex Q LCA x Fortnite
The Q Timex LCA x Fortnite was Timex’s answer to a popular video game. It keeps the old-school LCD/analog screen of the first Q LCA but adds:
- A Fortnite Victory Crown and Supply Llama on the analog section.
- A translucent resin case and strap in energising yellow or stealthy black.
- A unique analog/digital dual display and pre-INDIGLO backlight.
Some even came with a digital code for the Cold Snap Pickaxe cosmetic item in the game, which connected the watch to your account directly.
It’s not a dressy piece at all, but that’s the point: it’s a fun flex that shows you know both quartz nostalgia and the current meta.
Seiko 5 Sports Street Fighter V
Seiko didn’t just pick one game when it decided to focus on gaming. There are six models in the Seiko 5 Sports Street Fighter V line, and each one is based on a different character. They are Ryu, Chun-Li, Ken, Guile, Blanka, and Zangief.
Where these pieces shine is in the details:
- The battle-scarred bezel and white face on Ryu’s watch make you think of his gi.
- The Chun-Li figure wears deep blue and gold, and the ornament on her collar serves as the 12 o’clock marker.
- On the back of each case, there is artwork from Street Fighter and the gold joystick order for that character’s special move.
The Seiko 4R36 automatic movement is used in all of them, so you don’t have to choose between reliability and ease of use.
TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart
CAZ201E.FC6517 from TAG Heuer is an example of what can happen when a well-known Swiss brand fully adopts a video game license. TAG’s Calibre 16 automatic stopwatch movement is inside the 44mm watch.
- The face is black, and there are Mario racing features on the subdials and date wheel.
- There are only 3,000 of these watches made, and the caseback and frame are themed after Mario Kart.
For collectors, it appeals to two large groups at once: people who like watches with racing themes and people who really like Mario. These kinds of crossovers will happen more often in a world where the games market made about $182.7 billion in 2024 alone.
Romain Jerome Space Invaders
Romain Jerome’s Space Invaders takes love for old video games to a whole new level. The watch has a 46mm black PVD case and a multi-layered, pixelated dial with 3D Space Invaders figures set against a star field background. It was made under license from Taito.
Key facts for serious collectors:
- The original series was limited to just 78 pieces per version, echoing the game’s 1978 release year.
- The pixel characters are individually cut and hand-filled with coloured lacquer.
Since the brand is no longer active, you’re in a niche area where supply is low but cultural importance is high. This is the kind of piece that gets people’s attention at any watch event.
Nubeo x Space Invaders & Asteroids
In 2025, Nubeo and Atari released a limited edition Asteroids set with five colorways and only 125 pieces of each style. The hands are made of discs with spaceships and UFOs on them, and the sets are powered by a Japanese automatic movement. Some of the most prominent features are:
- Super-LumiNova that glows in the dark
- Sapphire crystals
- Water protection up to 21 ATM
Taito launched the Nubeo Space Invaders Limited Edition collection to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the game. It turns the alien sprites into bright, multi-layered dials that cover a wide range of topics.
Anicorn x Sega MegaDrive/Genesis
This series from Anicorn and Sega for the MegaDrive and Genesis feels like a grown-up way for people who grew up with Sonic and 16-bit music to wear that past.
- Anicorn made three special editions that were based on the casework and fonts of the original console.
- Retro pixel fonts and design cues from the Mega Drive/Genesis front panel are used on the numbers, which are set up in a modern automatic watch style.
Many reviews say it feels solid and heavy in your hand, calling it more of a “serious timepiece with a gaming story” than just a piece of novelty gear.
